Custom Jewelry Manufacturing for U.S. Jewelers

Turn a CAD file, reference design or stone-led brief into a manufacturing project with clearly defined specifications. Chuk Yip Company is a Hong Kong-based jewelry supplier with manufacturing resources in China, working primarily with U.S. jewelry businesses.

Submit a Project for Review

How does custom jewelry manufacturing work?

Custom jewelry manufacturing starts with your design and the details needed to assess production. Chuk Yip Company reviews CAD files, sketches, reference images and stone specifications for custom 14K and 18K gold jewelry projects. Manufacturing feasibility, stone sourcing, minimum order requirements, pricing and production timing are confirmed individually before a project proceeds.

An initial inquiry does not need to contain every final decision. Send what you have, identify the details that are settled, and flag those that still need review. Metal, stone dimensions, ring size, setting requirements and quantity help define the scope. After the specifications and commercial details are approved, the agreed project can move into manufacturing, followed by finished-jewelry review and delivery arrangements.

Who this service is for

Independent jewelers can submit customer-specific orders. Designers can bring a design that needs manufacturing review. Small brands and small wholesalers can discuss a defined project or small batch, with quantity requirements assessed for the work involved.

What to send for review

  • Your name, company and contact details.
  • CAD, a sketch or reference images, with notes explaining the intended design.
  • Jewelry type and ring size, where relevant.
  • 14K or 18K gold and your yellow, white or rose gold preference.
  • Stone type, shape and available length, width and depth measurements.
  • Whether stones are customer supplied or need sourcing.
  • Estimated quantity, target timing and any budget guidance you want considered.
  • Required design features and any details you are open to changing.

Mark unknown details as undecided. A target date or budget helps explain your brief; it does not establish an accepted delivery commitment or price.

From inquiry to finished jewelry

  1. Share the brief.

Send the available design and specification information.

  2. Review the project.

Manufacturing feasibility and missing details are assessed for the particular design.

  3. Confirm scope and terms.

Resolve materials, stone requirements, quantity, pricing and expected production timing.

  4. Approve and manufacture.

Production follows approval of the required specifications and commercial details.

  5. Review and arrange delivery.

The finished jewelry is reviewed before shipment or delivery arrangements are completed.

Capabilities relevant to your brief

Projects can involve 14K or 18K yellow, white or rose gold; natural or lab-grown diamonds; and colored gemstones. Confirmed project categories include engagement rings, wedding bands, matching or fitted bands, and custom gemstone jewelry. Customer-supplied center-stone and small-batch projects are reviewed individually.

Decisions that help make a quote useful

Separate essential features from preferences. If a certain profile, stone dimension or matching relationship must be retained, state that explicitly. A reference image can communicate appearance, but written dimensions and notes help explain what the image cannot show.

For a collection or repeat order, identify the differences among sizes, stones or design versions. Do not assume that approval of one version covers another. Quantity, available materials and any revised specifications need their own project review.

Questions about custom manufacturing

Can I start with a reference image instead of CAD?

Yes. A reference image or sketch can be submitted to explain the intended design, together with dimensions, materials and stone information you already have. Additional technical details or development may be needed before manufacturing can be confirmed. Identify the particular features you want reviewed rather than relying on the image alone.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Minimum order requirements are reviewed for each project. Design, materials, stone requirements, development work and the requested quantity all help define the scope. Chuk Yip does not publish one MOQ for every custom project. Send your intended quantity, including a single-piece or small-batch request, for individual assessment.

What determines the price of a custom project?

Pricing is confirmed after review of the actual project requirements. Your design, metal choice, stone requirements, quantity and development needs provide the basis for that review. A photograph or broad product description alone may leave important details unresolved. Include available specifications and distinguish confirmed requirements from options you are still considering.

Can a repeat order use the same specifications?

A previous specification can provide a starting point for discussing a repeat order, but the new request still needs review. Identify the design version, quantity and any changes in size, metal or stones. Material availability, pricing, minimum order requirements and expected production timing must be confirmed for the new project.

Put your project details together

Send your design, material preferences, stone information and estimated quantity. Chuk Yip will review the information before confirming feasibility, sourcing, MOQ, pricing and production timing.
